Our story began at Messiah University, where their paths crossed while working at the Pulse Media Hub. On a sunny day in mid-April, I stopped by the Pulse office to talk with Evelyn about a Typography project. What began as a simple conversation lingered far longer than expected. In those unplanned hours, we shared stories, passions, and pieces of our lives, planting the first seeds of our friendship that would soon grow into something more. Dinners and long walks followed, until the semester quietly gave way to summer. On June 1, 2024, I returned to visit Evelyn at Messiah, and together we shared our first date in the Harrisburg area. The day unfolded through the aisles of the Midtown Scholar Bookstore, a shared meal at an African restaurant, and through the magic of watching the Studio Ghibli classic Ponyo! Though summer allowed only a few more visits, their connection endured, and on September 29th, early in the autumn semester, Evelyn and I officially began dating!! From that moment on, their lives became a collection of shared memories: exploring New York City with friends and family, wandering through art museums, picnics and beach days, a walk-turned spontaneous meteor shower viewing, countless card, board, and strategy games played, Indian food enjoyed side by side, Coffee shop dates, meaningful conversations, Spotify playlists created and listened together, hikes taken, grocery trips turned into adventures, afternoons lost in bookstores, and evenings spent watching Studio Ghibli films and our beloved K-drama, Crash Landing on You. Even across oceans, while Evelyn studied abroad in Italy for four months, our bond has only deepened, shaped by time, patience, and love. On an apricitic Saturday in January 2026, in the very place where they had once shared their first walk, and so many since, I surprised Evelyn with a proposal, bringing our story full circle. With grateful hearts, we thank our dear friends and family for the love, encouragement, and support that have carried us to this moment.
