FAQs

If you have any other questions, please ask!
Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We ask that you please RSVP by December 31, 2024! This gives us time to plan group events with the guests that are able to make it to the wedding.

Question

What happens if I forget to RSVP?

Answer

If you don't RSVP "Will Attend" by the date given, we will mark you down as a "Will Not Attend."

Question

Where and when is the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The wedding ceremony is at the Wedding Knoll at Gather on Maui. Ceremony time is 4:15 pm. There will be an outdoor cocktail hour and dinner after the ceremony at the restaurant on the property in the upper pond seating area.

Question

Can I post photos and videos of your wedding?

Answer

We are excited to see the photos and videos you take of our wedding! All we ask is that during the ceremony, you put your phones and cameras away and enjoy that special moment with us. We have a photographer and videographer taking all the necessary photos and videos that you'll have access to after the wedding. As soon as the ceremony is over and throughout the reception, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you want! You can use the hashtag #nathanandelayna.

Question

Is there a rehearsal and rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Since it's a small wedding with a short ceremony, we won't have a rehearsal. The wedding coordinator will be at the wedding and will direct everyone on where to go and what to do. We do plan to have a welcome picnic at the beach the day before the wedding and everyone coming to the wedding is invited!

Question

Where should I stay on the island?

Answer

You can choose to stay anywhere you want on the island since everything is within a reasonable drive. If you'd prefer to stay close to the wedding venue, look for hotels or condo rentals in Wailea, Kihei, or Makena.

Question

What's the best way to get around the island?

Answer

We definitely recommend renting a car to get around the island. Alamo, Budget, and Enterprise all have rentals available at the Kahului Airport. If you have a membership to Costco, they typically have good deals on rental cars through their travel website.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding, cocktail hour, and dinner reception will all be outdoors. However, there is an indoor alternative if it rains.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Dressy beach attire–anything from casual dressy to cocktail attire will work. Nights can sometimes cool down, so ladies may want to bring a shawl or light jacket for the evening time.

Question

What is the weather like in Wailea?

Answer

In February, highs are generally in the upper 70's–low 80's with temperatures dipping down into the mid-60's at night. Rain showers are common, but sporadic, so it's a good idea to keep a rain jacket or umbrella with you at all times.

Question

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can order something off of our registry or contribute to our honeymoon fund (click on the registry tab at the top of this page.) A wedding card box will also be at our reception.
