They were both in the same french class in high school! Nathan always forgot to write down what the homework was, so he would text Caitlin every day to check. They became friends swapping seats so they could sit together in class and became closer through hanging out at marching band practices. One thing led to another, and here we are today!

The couple was in their apartment getting ready for a night out when Nathan told Caitlin in a fairly emergent manner that he NEEDED to change his pants for dinner. Reasonably confused, Caitlin told Nathan to just relax and sit back down because they had plenty of time before they needed to head out. In true Nathan fashion, he stood up, said "I really need to get some chapstick!" and speed-walked out of the room. When he came back, he got down on one knee and asked Caitlin to marry him. It was haphazard and comical, but most importantly it was perfect.
