Wedding Party

There are friends; there is family, and then there are friends that become family. B&N

Elyse Santiago

Maid of Honor

Elyse, “Ellis” as I like to call her, has been my best friend since 9th grade. I had never met another human being that I had more in common with yet was my total opposite until I met Elyse Santiago. Elyse and I have made COUNTLESS memories over the years, whether we’re staying up until 4am having deep talks, competing at cheer competitions in Disney, drinking Starbucks in the car while jamming to the best songs, or planning pranks and trying to embarrass each other, we’re always having the best time. Elyse and I have always been able to turn a mundane situation into an unforgettable memory because we click like no other. I truly feel so blessed to have such a sweet, patient, thoughtful, and fun best friend like Elyse. She has ALWAYS been there for me, and I know she always will be.

Micah Reed

Best Man

Micah and I have known each other since the day he moved to Huffman sophomore year of high school. What started off as a forced friendship in the corner of the youth building, ended with a life-long friend. Every major event, exciting or tragic, Micah has been right beside me. My favorite nights usually end with us sitting around a campfire reminiscing about hunting, fishing, camping, or one of the many crazy situations we’ve found ourselves in. We do just about everything together and I’m very thankful to have a true friend like Micah who will be there no matter what.

Sarah Cedillo

Maid of Honor

Sarah and I didn’t realize we were meant for each other until we had the same geography class in 9th grade. We quickly realized we shared the same humor and interests, and we’ve been best friends ever since. Sarah and I have literally traveled the world together, which has made for a multitude of sweet, fun, and unforgettable memories. Whether we’re dominating at Spikeball, non-stop dancing, pouring our hearts out while drinking our Starbucks, or sharing the gospel in Africa, we’re always making hilarious, life-long memories. Sarah has seen all sides of me, good and bad, but loves me anyway. I have shared more laughs and tears with Sarah than almost anyone else. She's truly one of the most caring, understanding, and thoughtful people I've ever met. We’re not only best friends but sisters.

John Cowen

Best Man

I don’t actually remember meeting John. I just know we have been friends since elementary school and that after college, we found ourselves spending just about every day together. Since then John has always been someone I can talk to about anything and is always giving positive feedback, no matter what. I always look forward to his welcoming “Yes Dude!!” every time we get together or catch up. Most of our conversations are spent jokingly criticizing each other, but it’s all out of love. I am so thankful to have a lively and genuine friend in my life like John.

Maegann Hornick

Bridesmaid

Maegann is my longest friend. We’ve known each other since elementary school but didn’t realize we were soul-sisters until middle school/high school. No matter how long we go without seeing each other, it always instantly feels like no time has passed. Maegann and I are so similar in so many ways, and yet we’ve always managed to balance each other so well. Maegann is one of the wittiest, funniest human beings I’ve ever met. She is such an encouraging, caring, thoughtful friend, and her enthusiastic energy is infectious. Every time she walks in a room, I instantly light up because where Maegann goes, the fun follows. Maegann is such an open-minded, fun, sweet soul, and I’m so thankful to have a best friend in my life who radiates so much love, positivity, and acceptance.

Brendan Adams

Groomsman

I really haven’t known Brendan all that long, but it feels like we’ve known each other forever because we hit it off from the start. From sports to beliefs, I have never disagreed with Brendan. I cherish all of the awesome memories we have made in the short amount of time we’ve known each other. Starting in 2018, those fun memories quickly changed from an ultimate-frisbee and disc-golf bromance to Brendan setting up bachelor watch parties with this girl named Brittni (who was pretty cool I guess). That is honestly kind of the whole reason I’m getting married in the first place. Good job Brendan! I am so blessed to have an awesome, level-headed friend like Brendan who always makes a good time better.

Maritza Reed

Bridesmaid

I met Maritza through Nathan about 3 years ago, and I am so thankful for it! Maritza is such a kind, genuine, and fun human being. I can always count on her for her wise, honest advice, and her wild dance moves. I love how Maritza is always her authentic self. I can’t count the number of times that Maritza and I have shamelessly killed it on an empty dance floor, all by ourselves, while strangers sit around and watch (probably wishing they were us). No matter how awkward Nathan and Micah say we look, Maritza and I will be dance partners for life. Whether we’re chilling in the backyard or sweating in the club, we’re always having a good time. I'm so thankful for such a real, selfless, and supportive friend like Maritza. She's always 100% genuine, and she never fails to liven up the party!

Nate Martin

Groomsman

Nate is like a little brother to me and will always be considered family. Growing up, we spent most of our time either trying to learn new songs for youth band or testing our gun/bow accuracy. From there, he became the first member of our motorcycle club of two, which never really took off (we still thought we were pretty cool though). I’m so happy that I’ve had the opportunity to stay close with Nate, even throughout his time in the Marines. He always knows how to make a situation fun and never fails to make an awkward moment worse. I love the guy.

Madi Cox

Bridesmaid

Although I grew closer to Madi after I started dating Nathan, I have actually known Madi the longest out of all “Nathan’s” friends. We both grew up in the dance world, so we always knew of each other but never had the opportunity to truly become close friends. I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am that we finally got that opportunity and that our paths have intertwined as they have over the last 3 years. Madi is such a caring and encouraging friend. She's wise beyond her years, and I can always count on her for such discerning advice. Madi is also the Queen of the dance floor! I have endless memories of Madi living it up on the dance floor ALL NIGHT without a care in the world. I'm so thankful to have such a graceful, fun-spirited friend like Madi, who brings so much joy to life.

Tyler Ballard

Groomsman

I’ve known Tyler probably longer than anyone, and we have always been close friends. Growing up we spent our days antagonizing my mom and our nights terrorizing his little sister. It was all out of love, but it usually ended with someone (Tyler) getting in trouble. As we got older, our lives shifted in different directions, but our friendship always picked right back up where we left it, no matter how long we went without seeing each other. Every time we get together it’s like no time has passed, and I am so thankful to have that kind of friendship with him.

Layna Murphy

Bridesmaid

I really got to know Layna after I started dating Nathan, but I cheered with her husband in high-school, and we always had a lot of mutual friends. Layna is such a thoughtful friend. She's always either reaching out to see how you are doing or sending a sweet, encouraging message to help get you through the day. I have so many fun memories with Layna; whether we are doing wine tastings in Fredericksburg, dancing at our favorite 80s club, sitting around a campfire, or sweating in the gym, we never fail to share countless laughs and make life-long memories. Layna loves her friends hard. I can’t count the number of times she has planned and hosted parties/celebrations for me, which always turn into such amazing memories. I’m so thankful to have such a fun, loving, and silly friend like Layna.

Noah Cox

Groomsman

My friendship with Noah started from our shared love for music/worship, and we quickly became closer throughout that time. I think our shared interests and personalities made it easy to grow a true friendship, and now it seems like we have known each other forever. Whether I’m laughing with him or at one of his ill-timed jokes, Noah always keeps it interesting and light-hearted. He is someone who will drop everything to talk, pray, listen, or just share a laugh with you. I am so thankful for him and our friendship.

Hannah Martin

Bridesmaid

I met Hannah about a year and a half ago after she and her husband, one of Nathan’s best friends, moved back to Houston. I’ll never forget the night I met Hannah; we were at Micah and Maritza’s house drinking homemade margaritas, and we just instantly clicked. Hannah is so open and easy to talk to that you feel like you have known her forever even if it has only been a short time. I've always gravitated to people like Hannah; she is unapologetically herself, and never fails to say whatever is on her mind. I cannot imagine my wedding day without Hannah’s carefree, silly, thoughtful-self standing by my side. I’ve never met anyone who spoils their friends with as much love and care as Hannah does. I always have the best time with her, and I am so thankful that Nathan brought her into my life!

Kris Murphy

Groomsman

Kris and I have grown close over the years. We truly became friends after he moved back from Peru. Our friendship started probably because of our shared love to camp in a tent, but mostly because of my constant need for a bass player on Wednesday nights. That quickly grew into him becoming a lifelong friend that I have gotten to share life with, and a lot of wings. I usually start my day off laughing at the newest meme he has sent me. He’s one of the wittiest and fun guys I’ve met. I am very thankful for Kris and all of our conversations and laughs.

Karly Cowen

Bridesmaid

I met Karly, who was one of Nathan’s close friends, about 3 years ago, and man has she brought endless laughter and joy to my life ever since. Karly is one of the funniest people I’ve encountered. She never fails to make the FUNNIEST faces, voices, and comments that make you laugh so hard you're in tears. Karly is always 100% authentically herself, and I love that so much about her. She is one of the most understanding, open-minded, and introspective people that I have ever met. I can always count on her enlightening advice and constant support. Karly has made me feel loved and accepted from the moment I started hanging out with Nathan’s friends. I honestly feel like Karly just gets me. I absolutely cannot imagine my wedding day without Karly’s goofy, encouraging, and fun self by my side.

Timmy Robison

Groomsman

Timmy (not Tim) is my soon-to-be wife’s brother. I used to think we were friends until he started introducing me as “my sister’s boyfriend.” That being said, I am so thankful for my friendship with Timmy and look forward to becoming family. I feel lucky to have a soon-to-be brother-in-law like Timmy. Since we met he has always been there to have a deep theological conversation with or just sit and chill, but no matter what, I know that he is always there for me, and vice versa. Love you brother!
