FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The doors to the Conservatory of Flowers will open at 5pm. Please plan to arrive by 5pm so we can start promptly. Note that parking and ride-share drop-off locations are all at least a 5-15 minute walk from the Conservatory, so we recommend leaving extra time to make it there by 5:00.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal dress is encouraged. For example, suit (tie-optional) for men, cocktail dresses for women. Please note that the Conservatory of Flowers is temperature-controlled for the plants, and can be a bit humid. Conversely, the Vault Garden dinner reception will be somewhat outdoors (i.e., a covered garden with heat lamps), so we would encourage bringing layers.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The closest parking for the Conservatory of Flowers is the Music Concourse parking garage (55 Hagiwara Tea Garden Dr, next to Cal Academy of Arts and Sciences; $6.25/hour, closes at 7pm) or street parking on Fulton Street. There is a secure parking garage under the Vault Garden for the reception. It is $5 total after validation.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Kids are welcome! Just please let us know if you plan to bring one. Please note we have limited seats for the ceremony and dinner reception, so ideally kids could sit on their parents' lap.

Question

Is there transportation to the dinner reception from the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will have shuttles to transport you from the Conservatory of Flowers to the Vault Garden. If interested, please let us know on the RSVP form so we have an accurate headcount for shuttle reservations.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, the restaurant can accommodate any dietary requests! Just let the wait staff know when making your meal selection on site (if necessary, the restaurant can prepare alternate dishes at that time).

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

No; we want to keep it low-key. If you insist, you can contribute to our honeymoon fund via Venmo (@Nathan-Kyaw) or Zelle (626-371-3369).
