Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is Black-Tie! This is a great time to dust off that old tuxedo in the closet! Or think of mimicking a tuxedo without wearing one, like a matching black suite! Full length and elegant dresses are encouraged. This as an fun opportunity to get all dolled-up! Those of you who'd like to wear something else: Keep it elegant and polished. A nice one-piece jumper or a matching power suit would look great! A pair of nice dressier shoes would compliment nicely and complete the look. Please note, our venue has many staircases and the reception floor is brick/cobbled. We recommend NOT wearing stilettos; instead choose a block heal, wedge, or flat.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our entire event will be either indoors or in a closed and covered temperature controlled courtyard. Rain or cold won't dim our day, or ruin your hair!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

If you are staying at the hotel block at the Courtyard Marriott, just walk next door (they're next door neighbors)! If you are driving, parking will be minimal at and near the venue. Street parking in the front of the hotel may be an option depending on availability (see parking FAQ below). If you are planning to rely on public transit, there are multiple metro and bus stop options in the area; Apple or Google maps are reliable tools in navigating our cities public transit. There will be no issue getting a ride share in this area of Washington D.C.! There will be an open bar; please plan a safe way home. Don't drive if you plan on drinking!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We are having a child free wedding. Due to recommendations from the historic inn, we respectively request that children do not attend. Infants (non-walking) are allowed but must remain with a responsible adult at all times.

Question

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

There is an option when you RSVP to detail any dietary restrictions. Please let us know when you RSVP.
