When we began thinking about getting married, we knew that we wanted something intimate. At the same time, we knew that we wanted our church family to play a huge role and come alongside us; this was nonnegotiable. With that, we have decided to have an "open" ceremony that any and all of our church family can attend. For this reason, there is no formal RSVP for our ceremony and all are welcome.
On November 5th, 2024, we met right before a worship service at First Baptist Spartanburg. It was a very small interaction as Nathan was about to lead his first song in the Genesis service, but we definitely felt a sweet connection. Although we had been going to the same church for a few months, our paths never crossed. In light of this, we both believe that the Lord put us together in His perfect timing. Over the course of the next month, we fell in love and the rest is history. While our journeys up to this point were not something we would have ever chosen, we believe that the Lord has been continually guiding us and in His grace, redeemed so much. It is no coincidence that a little over a year later, we are marrying in the same sanctuary. The Lord is a God of redemption, and we truly believe that He loves to bless His children. Our prayer is that many would come to see the Lord's faithfulness through our marriage.
