Our meeting story is simple: we were introduced by a mutual friend at a party. We became friends and started spending more & more time together. We soon realized that there was more to our relationship than just friendship. After about a year, we decided to get serious and we moved in together. So far, in our 7(ish) years together, we have enjoyed a few different homes, raised two charming dogs, and been on exciting travels. We helped each other through challenges and encouraged each other to grow. We shared life experiences such as going back to school, starting new careers, finding new hobbies & interests, and making new friends. We are ready to embrace all future adventures as husband & wife, and we couldn't be more excited. We are so grateful for everyone participating in our special day, and we look forward to taking the first step on this journey.

We were in Myrtle Beach visiting Nate's family. Everyone was celebrating being together for the first time in a while, and we went out to eat at Wicked Tuna. After dinner, we went for a sunset walk along the pier. Nate & I walked ahead of everyone just a bit, so we got to the end of the pier first. I was busy looking out at the ocean as it reflected the fiery skies, glowing from the evening's final rays of the sunlight. When I turned around, he was on one knee and slightly teary-eyed. I looked down in his hands and saw a dark blue velvet box. I could not stop the smile that spread across my face. My eyes also began to water, and I blurted a loud "Yes" as he opened the box, slid the ring on my finger, and held me. His family had snuck up behind us to record and photograph the moment. We were surrounded with congratulations and cheer. Even the bystanders were warm and kind. I will never forget the sweet little woman that was nearby, she was even in tears as congratulated us with her husband. It was truly one of the most wonderful moments of my life. - Alexandria
