“How did you two meet?” We get this question a lot and, to be honest, we aren’t sure how to answer. There’s never been a time we don’t remember knowing of each other. The first time we met was in elementary school. I was attending Stoneboro Wesleyan Methodist Academy at the time. That year stands out in my memory for may things: magical books, book reviews, learning how to write checks, playing on the playground, and the cute little curly headed twins who joined our school half way through the year. I still remember seeing them in the room next door. I thought they were cute, but never would have guessed that I had just laid eyes on my future husband. Life went separate ways for both of us. We would bump into each other in our teen years once he came back from his family’s missions stint in Peru. Fun fact: 4 years ago at a summer event, we were put on the same team and he developed a crush on me. Between 2016 and 2019, we both had our share of relationships, but none of them stuck. Finally, in September 2019, Nate told me (not asked) to go out with him and his friends. I couldn’t and so declined the offer. A week or so later, he posted a story asking for someone to hang out. I answered, we went out for chinese, and never stopped going out. We’ve been together every weekend (and most days between) since. He finally persuaded me to date him after months of my vehemently discouraging my friends who tried to set us up. I knew he liked me because... well, didn’t everyone? Even on our first outing, I decided we would never be more than friends. Only a month later, I had fallen irreversibly in love with him.🥰
