How They MetHow They Met

The couple met at a travel softball practice. Nathan was coaching and Abby was helping out for the spring. At first they thought each other were cute but nothing ever happened. Abby left for the summer and came back after living in California for a few months. When she came back she saw Nathan in a new light. She told their mutual friend, Donnie, how she felt and he put in a good word. Luckily Nathan felt the same way about Abby. After a few texts over her birthday they decided to go on a date. The whole softball family was rooting for them, and even after their first date the softball girls were already planning their wedding! They have been inseparable ever sense and still bond over softball.

The ProposalThe Proposal

Some of you may have seen the video, but if not, it was really cute! It was the day before Thanksgiving. They had just gotten home from dinner with Nathan's dad and girlfriend. Abby was surprised and excited because her dad, sisters, sister's boyfriend and aunt and uncle from Chicago were all at the house. She honestly thought nothing of it and actually went into the dining room to check on the pies she and her little sister had made that day. When she came back out into the living room Nathan was there with the ring and he got on one knee. She was not expecting it at all! She said, "You're joking!" and that's when everyone laughed and he said he was serious. Obviously, she said, "YEAH!" and now here we are!
