Abby and Nathan’s journey began on the campus of Oklahoma State University. During their freshman year, Abby’s sorority was paired with Nathan’s fraternity, and through mutual friends, their paths crossed. When the pandemic struck, students returned home to complete classes online. During this time, Abby and Nathan stayed connected through frequent FaceTime calls, spending hours talking, watching movies, and playing video games together. Over time, their friendship grew into something more. After thoughtful conversations with his parents, Nathan made the trip to Oklahoma to visit Abby and meet her family. They agreed that if things felt awkward, they would simply laugh it off and remain friends. Instead, that weekend marked the beginning of a wonderful new chapter in their lives. A few weeks later, Abby visited Nathan and met his large, loving family. On June 6, 2020, Nathan asked Abby to be his girlfriend at Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas. From that day forward, they have been inseparable. Their relationship endured the challenges of long distance, but their love proved stronger than the miles between them. After four years together, Nathan proposed to Abby at the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 3, 2024—and she said yes! Abby and Nathan are thrilled to begin this next chapter and cannot wait to celebrate their special day surrounded by family and friends.
