Nate and Alyssa met at a wedding! Alyssa's brother, Matthew, was getting married to his college sweetheart, Maddy. Nate had run cross country with Matthew at Martin Luther College and did an internship in Fort Collins, Colorado, with Maddy (the internship Alyssa currently had!). Alyssa had heard stories from her brother about this "Nate guy," but she couldn't have imagined that they'd fall in love! Nate and Alyssa became friends, bonding over their love of CO, philosophical conversations, and Bible study. After 4 years of friendship, Nate asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend while she was visiting him at his vicar call in Cincinnati, Ohio. Thus began a long-distance relationship over 5 states (Ohio and Wisconsin for Nate; Minnesota, Maryland, and Michigan for Alyssa) and 3 years. On November 18, 2023, Nate asked Alyssa if she would marry him, and SHE SAID YES! The two are so excited for you to be a part of this very special day.
