We met at Trinity Western University through mutual friends. We later found out that we were in the same Philosophy class that semester. Our friendship continued to grow as we played on the same intermural volleyball team and would hang out with mutual friends. Nathanael then asked Anna out for London Fogs and then not long later he asked her to be his girlfriend on April 13th, 2019.

To celebrate our 2nd anniversary and in lieu of celebrating Anna's birthday that Nathanael would miss while he was home in Idaho for the summer, Nathanael planned a full day of things to do. We went back to the place where we had our first double date, Castle Fun Park to play mini golf, then we went to play a couple games of bowling at our favourite bowling ally. We then went out for dinner at White Rock Beach where we later planned to watch the sunset. Little did Anna know that this was all leading up to a sunset proposal on the beach.
