Nate and I met on Instagram when DMs were not a thing. I was an upcoming sophomore at Florida State and he was an incoming freshman. We became friends on Instagram and started “liking” each other’s photos. Nate took the next big step and commented on one of my pictures with his cell phone number. True fun fact-he accidently gave me the wrong number! In 2013, we both arrived at FSU for our respective pre-season camps, mine in soccer, and his in football. We walked passed each other in the Moore Athletic Facility at FSU for lunch but both of us were too shy to talk to each other face to face. After pre-season was completed, Nate finally had the courage to ask me to out, and I brought my best friend, Jamia, to check him out. Here we are after nine years, career changes, a long-distance relationship, many moves and a new crazy dog we are getting married.
