We met on Tinder in 2019 after Nate sent the perfectly nerdy pickup pun “If you were an angle, you’d have less than 90 degrees, because you sure are acute!” and of course, I fell in love instantly! Well maybe it took a little while to convince me that he wasn’t too tall, but in the end, I’d say it all worked out pretty well! Our first date was at Rockquest, a rock-climbing gym we both love. I like to think that we must have been there at the same time before, with absolutely no idea that the future love of my lifewas climbing on some wall across the gym. We had been dating for a while by the time that the pandemic started, and as soon as the initial quarantine lifted, I essentially moved into Nate’s apartment. It wasn’t long after that we started talking about long term plans and envisioning our future together. We found an adorable rental house to move into and then adopted our two greyhounds, Dillon and Star, to help make it a home. In September of last year, Nate planned the perfect proposal, with many of our friends helping him to transform my parent’s backyard into a fairytale garden, full of lights and flowers and music. All of the planning was kept completely secret from me, and I had no idea that the casual summer hangout I thought we were heading to would actually be a proposal! Of course, I said yes, and we spent the night celebrating with the family and friends who helped pull off this surprise proposal! Now, we’re looking forward to celebrating our wedding with the people who mean the most to us, and we can’t wait to see you all this September!
