After a 4-hour drive from Las Vegas to Bryce Canyon National Park Ellie and Nathan stretched their legs and lungs at Sunrise Point just in time to get in a short hike before the sun set. As golden hour lit up the hoodoos of the canyon, Nathan got down on one knee and asked Ellie to marry him. She was so surprised that she said, "is this real?" before exclaiming to the world, "YES!"

After their second date Nathan was driving Ellie home when she found a map of Cuyahoga National Park in his car. Ellie asked if Nathan had been and he said no, but he wanted to visit eventually. Ellie said, "how about now?" Then and there, they decided to book an AirBnB for the next night and drive down after work. Ellie and Nathan hiked in the forest among fallen leaves, holding hands the whole time.
