We’re getting Married!

We were both on Match.com. Nathan and I had both just about given up. As I was about to delete and cancel my account, I came across his profile. I was very intrigued first by how cute he was. Then, when reading his bio, I read that he was a Christian! I just had to message him! So I did. Just a simple "Hey! How are you?" is where it all started. He was actually on a skiing trip at the time, so he ended up ghosting me for a few days, which made me extremely nervous. He then started messaging me more frequently, which surprised me. The more we talked, the more I ended up enjoying conversing with him. The first time we heard each other's voices, I believe was over a video game. I wanted to help make things easier when we first met in person, and I am so thankful I did! Finally I told him I wanted to meet. Our first date was dinner at Red Bone Alley in Florence, SC and then bowling after dinner. Nathan really surprised me when he opened every door for me-even my car door! Thank you to his older sisters for teaching him how to treat a lady! Nathan ended his gentleman act when he crushed me at bowling that night! That was the best first date I had ever had!

It was Tuesday. A normal day of the week when we usually had our middle of the week meet up in Bennettsville SC. I had no idea anything was going to happen that night. I was actually fairly sick with a bad cold. I had previously told Nathan that I would dress up for any date we went on “just in case” since I knew it was just a matter of time after he asked my father for permission. I get up, get ready for work, told Nathan O was “dressing comfy” that night (sweats and a tshirt). OBVIOUSLY i had no clue what was happening!!! I finally get off work and start heading to B-ville. We typically would begin our middle of the week meet up at Fiesta Tapatia then would go to the lake. Well that night he called me asking if we could start the night at the lake. (Weird). So I drive to the lake. I park in the grass where I usually would. I then get a call from Nathan asking me to come drive by the dock. I park and I immediately saw him standing there. Pink polo and nice jeans on. Candles and lights all on the pier. I start freaking out when i see there are even more decorations laid out beautifully! I know this is it. But why would he do it when I am wearing sweats??? (Erin had actually been texting me that morning asking if i wanted a dress of hers). I walk up and he starts guving this beautiful speech and i start crying because i CANNOT believe this is happening! Then Nathan gets down on one knee. And of course I said YES! Then out of nowhere I hear Your Smiling Face by James Taylor (a song that Nathan always says was his song to me. I look up and there is Erin and Heather! They then try to tell us to go get food on our own to celebrate. We then head to the restaurant. When we get there I see his family all in the private room. Little did I know they were hiding my PARENTS THAT CAME FROM IOWA! It was such a great night full of surprises and love!
