How We Met

05.06.2017

We met at a mutual friends BBQ party. I brought guacamole, he tried it and said it was the best guacamole ever and snacked on it all night! We teamed up while playing Heads Up and won every round. At one point the song "Yeah!" came on and he broke out his white boy Usher moves...and I basically fell in love. Later that week I found out that Brandon hated avocados! That's when I knew...he loved me too.

The Proposal

12.20.2020

It was five days before Christmas. Brandon, Amelia, and I had on our matching winter PJs, Christmas music was playing, and sugar cookies were baking in the oven. We realized we were missing icing, so Brandon said he'd run to the store and be right back. About 10 minutes later I received the scariest call that he had just been in a car accident. Amelia and I dropped everything, rushed to his aide, and when we got there we gave each other the biggest and longest embrace. Thank God, everyone was okay and was able to make it home that night. Once the night settled, we snuggled up on the couch, played the Christmas movie Klaus while Amelia fell asleep, and little Rosie slept on her doggy bed next to the beautifully lit Christmas tree. In that perfectly peaceful moment it hit me...had the night gone differently...we wouldn't be sitting together in that moment. I became overwhelmed with emotion and told Brandon how much I loved him and that I didn't want to live another day without him as my husband. I said, "Brandon Michael Lefevre...will you marry me?" He laughed and responded, "Yes! Nathaly Alejandra Lobo...will you marry me?" I smiled and said yes. He then told me to close my eyes and as I shut them, I could feel him placing a ring on my finger! I opened my eyes in shock and he said that he had been carrying around that ring with him for weeks waiting for the perfect moment to propose. He had shown all of our friends the ring and had an elaborate plan to propose on Christmas Day, but after the accident he said, "I don't want to go another day without you knowing how much you mean to me and that I want to spend the rest of my life loving you." It was my perfect Hallmark holiday movie ending. I can't wait to walk down the aisle to my best friend and celebrate with all of you on our special day! See you in the mountains.
