This festival will be going on April 16-19, 2026. "It's free, open to all and full of the music, flavors, and spirit that make New Orleans magic." We really recommend checking out the music and the food while you're in town.
We love City Park! We have enjoyed many dog walks and this was also where we got engaged. Enjoy the Botanical Gardens, Carousel Gardens, City Putt, hiking, or a paddle boat ride around the Big Lake. You can also check out Cafe du Monde, New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) and the Louisiana Children's Museum (which also a great restaurant - Acorn).
Real New Orleans food. Reservations are available only for parties of 5 or more. We recommend bringing a group! Or request the outside seating for 2 (it's in the bed of a truck).
Simple Italian dishes & pizza in an intimate, laid-back space hung with "Mona Lisa" portraits. They do not take reservations but you can put your name down and grab a drink across the street at the Golden Lantern while you wait.
This is a great place to stop for a foot massage after a day of walking, eating, and shopping on Magazine St. They only take reservations 24 hours in advance. Afterwards walk across the street to Stein's Deli for a sandwich.
Great sandwiches, and daily specials with unique sodas and beers. Minimal seating but you can grab to go orders.
Nathalie's favorite fine dining restaurant in New Orleans. Seasonal seafood and fantastic service. Reservations recommended.
Our favorite dive bar in the quarter. Get a Miller High Life on draft and sit outside so you can people watch. Cash only.
This is our recommended Air Boat tour company. They do offer hotel pick up or you will need to arrange a ride out of the city.
