We first crossed paths at a small church—me, just visiting with a friend and bringing along my keyboard to play. I noticed her from time to time, but we never spoke. It wasn’t until the summer of that year that we finally shared a real conversation. At first, it felt formal—simple, unassuming. But over time, phone calls turned into long conversations, and I began to admire her intelligence, her wit, and her quiet but fierce sense of competitiveness. What followed was a season of simple beauty—boardwalk strolls, quiet moments in the park, unforgettable days by the lake and the beach. Our love grew steadily and deeply, so much so that we didn’t think twice about making two-hour drives just to spend a few hours together—her commuting from campus in North Jersey, and me from my home in South Jersey. Those drives, while long, became sacred bridges between two hearts learning to love intentionally. We quickly discovered that we shared more than just a fondness for each other—we both had a competitive streak, a love for corny jokes, and at the time, a shared love for Konpa music that sparked spontaneous dance breaks and laughter. We grew not only in love but in deep friendship, one rooted in mutual respect, joy, and the willingness to keep choosing each other. In the early days, our relationship with Christ was present but not yet rooted. But in April of 2024, nearly four years into our journey, we faced a season of darkness that brought us to our knees. It was there, in our brokenness, that we encountered Christ in a new and transformative way. He reminded us that love isn’t just a feeling—it’s a covenant. And from that moment on, we knew: our love was meant to be sealed under the sacred promise of holy matrimony. Through every trial and tribulation, God has been faithful. We’ve grown together not only emotionally and mentally, but also physically and spiritually—challenging one another, supporting each other, and maturing in faith and character. And now, as we stand on the threshold of marriage, we hold firm to the promises God has spoken over our union. We are walking boldly into this next chapter, not because it’s easy, but because we know Who is leading us.
