When I first came to the U.S. back in 2007, everything felt so new and a little overwhelming. But that’s when I met Kervin, and he became my very first friend here. From the jump, we just clicked. We did everything together from playing ball, riding bikes around the neighborhood, chilling after school, to just sitting around cracking jokes and laughing until our stomachs hurt. What I loved about those times is that even the simple stuff felt like an adventure with him. We’d go to the park, walk around, grab food, hang out at each other’s houses whatever it was, we always found a way to make it fun.
