Andrew and I first crossed paths over thirteen years ago while working at Food 4 Less. At the time, we were both in different relationships, and life quietly sent us in separate directions. We were just two people in the same place… years too early. But even then, I noticed him. I remember thinking, “Oh wow… he’s adorable and extremely handsome.” (For the record, his first thought about me was apparently, “Damn… she’s fine. I want to make her mine.” 😌) Fast forward nearly a decade later , during the chaos of COVID , when we reconnected in the most modern way possible: Facebook video chat. What started as a simple catch-up quickly felt easy… natural… like maybe the timing was finally on our side. Of course, the universe still kept things interesting. Andrew was working night shift while I had an early morning schedule, which meant our “dates” sometimes happened at 5 AM , him just getting off work and me barely awake and logging in for the day. Thankfully, when COVID allowed me to work from home, we finally had a little breathing room… though we still had to master the art of planning around ever changing shifts and the looming question of when I’d have to return in person. Somehow, between the early mornings, schedule juggling, and very questionable sleep routines… we figured it out. Because when something is meant to be, you find the time. Turns out we didn’t miss our chance thirteen years ago — we were just written in the stars for the right moment. 💫💕
