From asking me to prom back in 2015 to asking me to marry him... Four years later, we reconnected after seeing each other at a mutual friends birthday celebration. We were sitting next to each other one part of the night and he asked me if I would go out to dinner and a movie with him the next day and without thinking nothing of it I said yes. He texted me the next day and we went out on our first official date, which for some reason I was extremely nervous for... we caught up on life, laughed, and watched the worst movie of all time from which we still laugh about till this day. Saying yes to that date was the best decision I ever made.
On the weekend of my birthday we took an amazing vacation to Cancun. We went to every restaurant at our all inclusive resort but had yet to dine in at the steakhouse since there was always over an hour wait. On our second to last day we decided to have dinner there. I remember Gean taking forever to get ready and he told me he had to use the bathroom but that I should head down, get our names on the waitlist, and wait for him at the bar. So I did. About 15 minutes passed, I called him to see if he was coming down but he told me his stomach was hurting and needed to lay down for a little.. or so I thought... I came back up to our suite to find it beautifully decorated with roses everywhere, candles lit and a pathway to which led me to him on one knee, asking me to marry him. With Gean feeling so nervous and excited, and me entering a state of shock, we just stared at each other with the biggest smile on our faces and both immediately started crying. I then said "YES!!" and we got to celebrate with an amazing dinner and called our entire family to share the news. Now we are planning our wedding and super excited to celebrate with you all! We cannot wait to see everyone in Riviera Maya, Cancun on May 15th, 2022 for a celebration of true love.
