If you are flying in to join us, BWI is the closest airport to the Eastern Shore. St. Michaels is about 80 minutes/ 75 miles from the airport. From BWI there are a few ways to get to St. Michaels. Car Rental The best option is to book a car rental if you are flying in for the weekend. There are many car rental companies to choose from at BWI. Plug your St. Michaels hotel into Google Maps or Waze. The car ride is approximately 80 minutes. If you are driving from BWI on Friday or Saturday, please leave yourself extra time to get to the Eastern Shore. Traffic can get quite congested on the weekends in peak season. If you are flying in to join us, DCA is the next closest airport to the Eastern Shore. St. Michaels is about 100 minutes/ 85 miles from the airport. From DCA, the best option fro travel to St. Michaels is to rent a car at the airport. Car Rental The best option is to book a car rental if you are flying in for the weekend. Bay Runner Shuttle

The Bay Runner picks up at the BWI Marshall Airport and transports to Easton Airport (a 15 minute drive from St. Michaels). You must book your tickets for the shuttle in advance. The shuttles runs every 2 hours from BWI to Easton. A one way ticket is $69/passenger and a round trip ticket is $139/passenger. For bookings, visit www.bayrunnershuttle.com. If you go this route, please note that taxis and Ubers are not a reliable mode of transportation on the Shore as there are very few of them. The Bay Runner Shuttle is a great option if a friend with a car is going to pick you up at Easton Airport.

A private SUV service is available for transportation to St. Michaels. Each ride can accommodate multiple passengers with luggage. Payment and tip must be made in cash. Estimated rates are: BWI Airport – $195; Union Station (DC) – $240; Wilmington (DE) Amtrak – $275 Rides should be scheduled in advance, and earlier bookings are recommended for the best rates.
