We had our wedding planned for May 16, 2020, little did we know what was to come. With the onset of COVID-19, we knew things were going to look different. After many changed plans and rearranged organizations, we decided with our families that we needed to focus on the meaning of marriage itself, instead of on the wedding so much. We opted to move the wedding date to April 11, 2020! The days leading up to April 11, 2020, were a blur of preparation, excitement, prayer, and celebratory tears. The love shown to (my HUSBAND) Nate and I was honestly unbelievable. Our family, as one, came together to make this day so peaceful, intentional, and beautiful. The people we get to call family amaze us every day, from those who supported our decision even though they could not be there, to the ones who gave their time to make it so special, and to those who taught their children the meaning of marriage. This was the day before Easter and we were able to celebrate Christ's resurrection by vowing to try and love sacrificially the as He does. A pandemic will teach you how to sacrifice your desires at times, and while we missed our dear friends and family that could not be there, we are so thankful for your support, prayer, and excitement. To our moms, dads, and siblings, there's no way to thank you all for teaching us what family means. We are so blessed to be walking in life together. We are overjoyed to be bride and groom, and the best is always yet to come.
