💖 "Like most couples in the 21st century who meet online, we agreed to meet for a drink and then go from there." ― M. King I chose to meet at a neighborhood restaurant bar, and at our first meeting we talked for a couple of hours and discovered that we had many interest in common. This was a good thing. Then, at this meeting we agreed to see each other again for dinner the next weekend. Since meeting on our initial date, we have either spoken over the phone, texted or seen each other on a daily basis to this very day. This is when you initially know that a blooming relationship is special and is like no other. Being a gentleman, Nate texted me to say good morning, or he would sometimes ask how was my day? And, at the end of the day before bed, Nate would say goodnight either via text or a quick phone call. Throughout the years, we look back overtime and what's funny is we met initially at a neighborhood Applebee's restaurant, and over the past six years we always meet Nate's Dad at Applebee's for his birthday, Father's Day, and / or on Veteran's Day. Our Applebee's meetings make everything come full circle, and this is a good thing.
💖 "He wants to put his story next to hers." ― Toni Morrison 💖 “He looked at her the way all women want to be looked at by a man.” ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby We were getting ready to go out for my birthday dinner. And, being that my birthday was coming up in a few days, we decided to go out on Saturday night at MOMS in Doylestown, PA. Right before heading to the car, Nate said, "I am going to give you your birthday present now!" I was looking a little puzzled but smiled and said, "We can always wait in a few days after work its no rush." I was totally caught off-guard not knowing what was to come. He insisted and said, "no, I am going to give you your present now, so sit down and close your eyes." Nate proceeded upstairs to the bedrooms and his secret hiding place, then came back down and said, "Keep your eyes closed." So, I kept my eyes closed and waited patiently giggling a little. I heard lots of paper rattling and then all was quiet, and he said, "Open your eyes." Nate was down on one knee in front of me and said, "Will you marry me?" He was smiling with bright big puppy dog eyes. I didn't know what to think, so I looked at the ring and then I looked at him, and again I looked at him and the ring once more. All I could say was, "What?" We both laughed, and so he said it again, "Will you marry me, yes, no, or maybe?" I said, "YES!" and started crying, crying and crying even more. We hugged, kissed and enjoyed our joyous moment. We then headed out to one of our favorite restaurants for my birthday dinner and we were full of excitement and true happiness. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Gwynedd PA! 💖 “In order to write about life first you must live it.” ― Ernest Hemingway
