Hello everyone! Welcome to our new wedding website. Due to COVID-19, Nate and I made the difficult decision to postpone our original April wedding, along with our backup November 2020 wedding. It's been a wild 1.5 years, but we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you.
Nate and I met when we were sophomores at Rollins College. I majored in Classical Studies and was the only Latin tutor at the school. Since Nate didn't want to take an early Spanish class, he switched into the 10am Latin class. A couple of weeks into the Fall semester, he spotted me outside of school and asked me to tutor him, even though he had an A- in the class. When I asked why he needed a tutor, Nate responded that he "only goes for A+'s." Turns out, Nate wanted to goof off and socialize during our tutoring sessions, and we became fast friends. The next semester, I went off to study abroad in Greece, while Nate turned his attention to becoming President of his fraternity, Chi Psi, and leading his brothers to success. When I returned our junior year, we reconnected and sparks flew.
Six years later, a house and the biggest rascal of a Boston Terrier later, Nate turned me into an avid Tampa Bay Lightning fan, even going so far as to convince me to name our dog, Bolt, after our favorite team. He taught me how to play backgammon, a game he grew up playing with his Pappap and Mamma, and I taught him that I don't like to lose. We spend our days trying out fun, new restaurants in Winter Park, and arguing over who Bolt likes to snuggle with more. Knowing that my parents would be in town a few days before Christmas, Nate planned a family brunch at his parents' home. Somehow, he managed to corral everybody out to the lake, where he pulled me aside and popped the big question. The biggest surprise was that he hired a professional photographer to secretly capture the entire event, and that our good friends were on the way to the house to celebrate with the rest of the family.
