Short drive from our home, Historic Folsom is a cute street of boutiques and old town buildings. A regular for us.
Cooper's Coffee House
Staying near us and need some coffee? Our weekend coffee shop is a great place to grab some caffeine and a specialty bagel.
Folsom Lake
A short drive from our home, this huge lake is a fun spot to drive up the shore and rent a kayak or paddle board.
American River Resort
Our first camping trip alone together. American River Resort sits at the heart of local history, igniting the biggest gold rush in history. If during your visit, you want to enjoy outdoors and some whitewater rafting you'll enjoy this beautiful place.
Midtown
Want something a bit more hip, check out Mid-town Sacramento. After moving to Folsom, we discovered Sacramento was voted as one of the hipster capitals. Independent coffee shops, local modern restaurants and bars. Sacramento celebrates a culture of Farm to Fork eating, you won't be disappointed!
San Francisco
If you can make the time, San Francisco is a must. Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, The Ferry Building (one of our faves), so many options. You'll love it!
Yosemite National Park
Yosemite is simply majestic! A magical place that we visit every year. If you've never been to the west coast definitely make the trip. A 3 1/2 hour drive from us, but totally worth it!
South Lake Tahoe
In the Sierra Nevada mountains. Watersports, bike trials and nightlife. All around fun.
