Zach and Nate met at Apex Jiu Jitsu Troy (then Detroit Academy of Martial Arts) in 2014. Considered brothers from other mothers, they have crossed state lines, border lines, and the Atlantic together, creating memories and learning martial arts. These two navigated all the ups and downs of the last decade together, and will conquer many more! (Also he is single, and very handsome.)

Ryan and Nate have known each other since Ryan stepped out onto this big blue marble in 2002. He is Nates youngest brother, he may be the last born but he is second tallest and almost as funny as his oldest brother. These two can make just about anyone laugh if they are in a room together. Ryan is a future billionaire and "That Guy"
Joe Graunstadt

Joe and Nate met back in 2014 when Nate starting learning BJJ at Joe's academy. Shortly after becoming a student, Joe gave Nate the opportunity to start coaching classes with him and they have been a team ever since! These two have been through many changes over the past 11 years, but, their commitment to building up the academy and each other has remained constant. Joe has played a big part in shaping the man Nate is today!
David Smith

Also known as Sir David, he and Nate met around the same time as Zach and Joe. These two were bestfriends from the first day they met at the Academy. Sharing in their love of BJJ, guns, cars, and an honest days work. It is no surprise they are friends for life. Dave is also responsible for Nate's nickname of "Tater"
Cody Chambers

Cody and Nate met back in 2015 while attending kickboxing classes at Apex Jiu Jitsu Troy. They both quickly bonded over being southpaws, sweating enough to make their own sweat island at the end of class, and their exceptional music tastes. They have made many great memories over the last decade and to this day try to catch at least one UFC card a month with Zach!
Brian Janowak

Brian and Nate first met back in 2020 when Brian and his two boys signed up for BJJ. Brian and Nate became fast friends through training and coaching his two boys in competition. Brian also convinced Nate to get his real estate license so they could hangout at both of their jobs. Fast forward to this day and the boys consider each other family. Brian is a steadfast and dedicated friend that few are lucky enough to ever experience.
Alex Spomer

Alex is Lana's little brother and soon to be brother-in-law to Nate! With only 1.5 years age difference, Lana may be the big sister but he has towered over her for many years now. He has always been very thoughtful and considerate towards his big sister and she wanted build a new memory for the two of them on her special day.
Dylan Joly

Dylan and Lana met 8 years ago at her first job as a PT at Crawl Walk Jump Run. A friendship turned into a sisterhood, they've shared many life events together from school, to jujitsu, and all of life's hard curve balls. She's the friend you trust without overthinking and is always a safe space without even trying.
Jordan Germain

Jordan and Lana have been friends since the early days of preschool in their home town of Flushing. Their friendship has truly sustained the test of time of 25+ years (but who's counting). From high school graduation, spring break 2014, weddings and kids, they have been there together through life's big milestones.
Elizabeth Nowinski

Elizabeth and Lana met their first year of DPT school at Wayne State in 2014. They became study partners and fast friends (initially bonded by their love of One Direction). Favorite moments include Halloween parties, trips to Florida and being each others' wedding dates for everyone else's weddings over the years.
Kimberly Krakosky

Kim and Lana met at Crawl Walk Jump Run in 2018 while Kim was still a tech and Lana just starting out as a PT. They love to have coffee dates, being in nature and hanging out on Dylan's couch catching up with each other.

Alyssa and Lana met their first year of PT school in 2014 and shortly after became roommates with Tori until graduation. Not only did they live together for nearly 3 years, they've gone on camping trips, vacations across the country and being there for life's biggest moments.
