End of May in Idaho may be 75 degrees and sunny, or it may be snowing. We really don't know what it's going to be like, and are being cautiously optimistic. Don't trust weather forecasts and be prepared for any and all weather, and to go with the flow!
Regarding your kids, of course we'd love to see them but ultimately this is a "choose your own adventure" wedding event. We have some friends who are leaving their children in another state, some who are hiring babysitters, and some who plan to let them run free at the event. Totally up to you!
No, dogs are not allowed at the events this weekend. With the realities of management of a large outdoor kitchen and comfort of guests of all ages, we ask that you leave your dogs at home and do not bring them to the events. Thanks!
Yes.
Our hope is that everyone arrives fresh for the wedding weekend, and that those who can, will stay for the fun river float on Monday on the Payettes (which is about 3 hours from Ketchum, and will have camping, and AirBnB/ VRBO options in the nearby town of Crouch/ Garden Valley). The main highway along the river has become rather hectic on weekends, and so we specifically scheduled this event to not be on a weekend accordingly. Our hope is that Sunday after the wedding, everyone can take the evening to re-group, re-charge, and take a little downtime, so that we can all be re-invigorated to celebrate on the river on Monday.
No, there is nothing scheduled for Sunday evening or Monday morning. Please take this time to re-charge after the wedding, take some time to enjoy the area around and between Ketchum and Banks, which are very scenic and have lots of hiking and river recreation options, and get excited for the Martini Formal on Monday afternoon!
Yes please!
No:)! There are plenty of AirBnB, VRBO, and hotel options in the local area. Check them out, and book whatever fits your style and needs best!
There are no facilities at the meadow, but we will be bringing in port-a-potties and amble water supply. The road may be muddy and a little rough this time of year. We ask that you do not bring off-road vehicles, and do not idle in the general camping area- we are going for fumes and noise free to be able to best enjoy the peace of the outdoors! Thank you!
We recommend considering renting a car with higher clearance. The road to the wedding event is dirt and may be muddy and a little rough in May.
There is not a shuttle to the wedding. Please carpool when possible, and plan to have a safe, sober, and designated driver to get you home.
No, there is no cell service at Silver Creek Meadow, the site for the Friday Night weenie roast and our wedding, so plan to just show up and enjoy being "off the grid". Please download the directions to Silver Creek Meadow prior to leaving Ketchum, and we'll have a sign and balloons on the main road!
