FAQs

Question

Are children welcome at the wedding?

Answer

We love your kids...truly. But given limitations at the venue we cannot accommodate the tots. If you need childcare, please let us know. We can connect you with a few people that are trustworthy chaperones of children that can take care of them for the night.

Question

Will Birdie be there?

Answer

Maybe...perhaps...we are thinking on it. She's incredible but also chaos. But it's probable that she makes a cameo, as the center is of course named after her formal moniker of Lady Bird.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

That Austin is so hot right now. Truly, it can be very hot at this time of the year. We would have opted for October but Formula One and multiple festivals swarm the city at this time and inflate hotel prices, so we will be celebrating in the warmth together. As mentioned, the wedding is cocktail attire. Please dress for heat and drink plenty of water!

Question

I have a food allergy, what should I do?

Answer

We have collected food allergies/intolerances as part of the RSVP process but if you haven't had the chance to provide this information please let us know. Our caterer is quite accommodating. For what it is worth most of the food will be gluten free.

Question

Will you serve vegan options?

Answer

Our food will be buffet style featuring chicken and beef with vegetarian friendly sides. If you would like to have a vegan meal please let us know no later than July 1st.

Question

Is the Wildflower Center ADA?

Answer

From their website: Yes, the Wildflower Center’s Central Complex, Central Gardens, and Luci and Ian Family Garden are wheelchair accessible. The Arboretum Trail and Roadrunner Trail are also wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available for guests to borrow at no charge at the Admissions Kiosk. We have a limited supply of wheelchairs, so they are offered on a first come, first serve basis. The type of trails at the Center vary and include cement, stone pavers and hard–packed crushed granite.

Do you have a link to the Owl Cam at the Wildflower Center?

Answer

Funny you should ask! Check out the Wildflower Center’s resident owl here: https://www.wildflower.org/visit/athena-the-owl Bonus points to those that find the owl at the venue.
