I know everyone says this, but Nathan and I's story is my favorite. We grew up very similar. God blessed us with the best families. Loving us so well and allowing us and everyone around them to see God through them. Because of this, we have had so many prayer warriors on our side before we even knew each other. It wasn’t just Nathan and I praying for each other, we had the best team behind us all the way. We not only have the best families but the best friends. God worked through our best friends, Savannah and Tyler, to bring us together. God’s hand has been so evident in this relationship. From the perfect timing of it all, to how homey it felt from the very beginning. I never thought I'd be ready to be engaged before a year of dating someone and then I met Nathan and knew 3 months in this was it. When you know you know, right? But seriously this man, I would be crazy to not be planning my life with him. I have never met a guy who loves Jesus and others so well. He has truly loved me with the most genuine Christ-like love from the very beginning. Our relationship isn't perfect, we both aren't perfect but we have the same goal every day, to honor God in all we do. I know everything we both have been through prepared us perfectly for each other and I wouldn't change a single thing..like I said, our story is my favorite.
When I first met Kaitlin my intentions with her were pretty obvious. We got to know each other pretty quick and grew together in Christ. It was awesome how God made it very evident to us that He led us to each other for a specific reason. Kaitlin is such an amazing influence to me. I have never once doubted her faith the way she pushes me to grow in Christ as an individual and together. This is something I will always cherish. I had been praying about asking her to marry me and I wanted it to be a very special moment. Once I got her Father's approval I searched for ideas on how to “POP” the question. We decided to use a local vineyard and plan a surprise birthday for my mom that just recently had a birthday. Little did Kaitlin know, this surprise was not at all about my mom. Building up to November 15th, there were a lot of nerves. My mom and I went to the vineyard and planned out exactly how we wanted the day to go. Once the day came, Kaitlin thought we were taking pictures before going inside for my mom’s birthday dinner. As the pictures were being taken, I got down on one knee and asked the woman of my dreams to spend forever with me. She said “YES”! God could not have been more evident in the way this turned out, from the beautiful weather to His persistent provision through this whole process.
