Genisis and Nathan met in Seoul, South Korea, December 2017. Prior to meeting, Genisis had been a teacher in South Korea for two years and Nate worked in the U.S Army. He was eventually stationed in Camp Casey, an hour and a half north of Seoul. They were first introduced when Genisis' twin sister, Isis, asked her to show her friend from church, Nate, around Seoul since he was new to the city. They quickly formed a friendship that carried on while Nate explored Japan and Genisis explored Hong Kong during the end of December. A month later Genisis and Nate had their first official date on January 5th in Hongdae near where their church was. Eventually Nate was given orders to report back to the states and after a lot of prayer Genisis decided to also move back to the states. God would place them at Fort Drum in northern New York. Genisis worked as a mentor specialist at the local community college and high school while Nate finished up his last year of service in the Army. Nathan proposed to Genisis at the Bethesda Theater in Central Park on Christmas Day. Their goal as they prepare for marriage is to put God at the center of their relationship and to continue to appreciate the adventures God takes them on.
