We are excited to announce that we will be holding an intimate ceremony, as we start a new chapter in our lives together in a small elopement ceremony with our immediate family. We hope to celebrate virtually with all of our friends and family. We look forward to celebrating with everyone in a large celebration, to be held at a later date. We met - 8/26/15 We were introduced by a very outgoing close friend, who was a student ambassador. She found Danni wandering around her new student orientation on the first day of graduate school, and after discovering that Danni lived in the same neighborhood as a few of her friends, she invited Danni to meet some of them (including Nate) that night at the hot tubs. When we were introduced that evening, we both felt as if there was something electric between us. We spent the entire evening talking. Nate woo-ed Danni with a rousing discussion about the developmental environments that preclude many exceptional athletes. Danni woo-ed back by discussing her studies, tattoos, and the meaning behind them. Danni knew that Nate was a special guy when she noticed that he would much rather talk to her than pay attention to our friend who had forgotten a swimsuit and was swimming in lacy underwear. After that night, we focused on our studies and talked and saw each other sparingly. Until a few months later, when Danni hosted a movie night. We bonded when we both picked a low-budget sh**y Netflix movie, which our friends refused to watch. After that night, we started texting regularly. On Thanksgiving, as Nate drove from Buffalo to Binghamton, we spent the entire drive talking on the phone. Shortly after that, we went on our first date (on 12-1-2015) and became an "official" couple on 12-19-2015. ---- time passed --- We got engaged! - 12/19/19 We went out to an escape room (and dinner later) for our anniversary. It was a Harry Potter escape room (Danni is the biggest Harry Potter fan). Nate had them replace the final key to escape the room with the ring and snuck up behind Danni and got down on my knee as she reached for what she thought was the key. Danni opened the box to see the ring and turned around to find Nate anxiously awaiting to ask if he could spend the rest of his life with her. We getting married!!!!! - 12/19/20
