Brittany and Nate's engagement story begins typically for them.... they were running late! On the morning of their engagement (an otherwise regular workday) Brittany woke up late and had to hurry to get ready for work. As she was running around trying to not be late, Nate asked what he could do for help. Brittany asked him to run to Wegmans and pick up a few things she needed, (the funny thing, when he did that, he also picked up roses that he would later bring to the proposal!). So, Brittany went to school and Nate went to work. The day went typically until suddenly Nate showed up at her classroom door with roses in hand. One thing that wasn't mentioned was that Brittany and Nate got engaged on their 5-year dating anniversary. When Nate arrived at the door with flowers, Brittany didn't think too far into it. Nate had previously worked at Brittany's school and would pop in from time to time for a visit with her and her class. Nate came and visited (probably working up his courage) then finally spoke in front of the class explaining to them how important they were to Miss McCabe and how much she cares for them. Then finally in front of her class got down on one knee and asked Brittany to marry him! The entire class cheered, and one student even went to each classroom screaming, "MY TEACHER IS MARRIED!!!" It was a very special moment that they will always cherish forever.
