Nate and Anna’s love story began at a time of transition—he was starting college, and she was finishing high school. Hoping to reconnect with old friends, Anna sent out a Snapchat asking to start new streaks. What began as casual messages quickly turned into daily conversations, and over the course of several weeks, their connection grew stronger. One night, while Nate was out of town, Anna’s sister decided to prank call him. What started as a joke turned into their first FaceTime call, which lasted over three hours and ended with both of them falling asleep on the phone. From that moment on, Nate and Anna were inseparable. Their journey officially began on January 20, 2020, when Nate asked Anna to be his girlfriend. Since then, they have walked through every season of life side by side. Nate supported Anna through starting college, attending pharmacy school, graduating, and beginning her career. Anna supported Nate as he finished his business degree, worked in plumbing and roofing, and pursued his love of hunting and fishing. Together, they weathered the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the loss of loved ones and childhood dogs, car accidents, and all the unexpected hardships life brought their way. Through it all, their love only grew stronger. After five years together, Nate knew it was time to turn their dreams of building a life together into reality. On April 18, 2025, he got down on one knee and asked Anna to become his wife—and she said yes.

On April 18th, 2025, Nate planned a moment Anna would never forget at the World’s Fair Pavilion in Forest Park. Though Anna had a feeling something special was coming — her intuition was right, even if she didn’t know just how beautifully it would unfold — she still let herself be completely surprised. Waiting for her was a romantic scene of rose petals arranged in the shape of a heart, glowing candles, and a vase of flowers. As Anna took it all in, Nate shared his heart and his hopes for their future before getting down on one knee and asking her to be his forever. She said “yes” without hesitation. Moments later, their family emerged from hiding to celebrate with hugs, happy tears, and so much love. That evening, Anna and Nate slipped away to 360 Rooftop to celebrate together, soaking in the excitement of the day and toasting to their future as an engaged couple. A few weeks later, the celebrations continued as they gathered with family and friends at 360 Rooftop to officially celebrate their engagement. April 18th, 2025 will always be remembered as the day Anna and Nate’s forever began.
