What To Do in Dummerston, VT

The Stone Trust

707 Kipling Road, Dummerston, VT 05301

In addition to being a working heirloom apple orchard and landmark site of Rudyard Kipling's estate, Scott Farm is home to The Stone Trust, a nonprofit established in 2010 with the mission to preserve and advance the art and craft of dry stone walling. There are beautiful examples of this historic craft just a stone's throw away from our venue ;)

Hiking

There are many beautiful hiking trails in the area, with options for difficulty level. It was on a hike while visiting Scott Farm in 2020 that Anna decided to go to grad school, where she met Nate!

Explore Downtown Brattleboro

Brattleboro is a very sweet New England town along the bank of the Connecticut River with restaurants, shops, and art galleries to check out. We recommend Everyone's Books, an independent bookstore specializing in books about social change and the environment.

Covered Bridges of Vermont

There are over 100 covered wooden truss bridges in Vermont. You probably can't see them all this weekend but there are many within driving distance of Brattleboro!

Vermont Cheese Trail

Vermont is known for cheddar. What other delicious Vermont cheese may melt your dairy-free diet away? Explore the Vermont cheese trail and find out!
