Nate and Andrea met in October of 2012 when they were both working at Famous Footwear. Andrea was 16, starting her first job and Nate had just turned 18 and was attending college at UNLV. Andrea had a little crush on Nate from day one but was too shy to say anything and plus Nate was already taken at the time. After about a year Nate and Andrea got to know each other better and they became good friends at work.

In October of 2013, Andrea was in search of a date to take to her senior homecoming dance. Nate was finally single and it was the perfect opportunity for Andrea to make her move. He accepted to go with her after he got permission from his mom (but that’s a whole different story.) They had an amazing night at the dance and they now consider it to have been their first date. A few days later, Nate asked Andrea to be his girlfriend.

Nate asked Andrea’s parents for her hand in marriage before anything. He then picked the perfect ring with the help of his mom and planned the proposal at one of his and Andrea’s favorite restaurant, Top of the World. Andrea was told that they were going to have a family dinner with both their families to celebrate Mother’s Day. So on May 5th (which also happened to be Cinco de Mayo) Nate and Andrea spent their day shopping at the mall in search for a nice outfit for Nate to wear. Andrea had no clue that she was picking out the outfit that Nate would later wear that night when he would propose to her. They headed to the restaurant and ate dinner with their families and right after dinner they went up to the observation patio to look at the amazing views of Las Vegas. It was finally time for Nate to pop the question. So right when Andrea was told to pose for a picture with Nate, he got on his knee and asked her to marry him. She was in total shock and couldn’t believe her eyes. She said YES and everyone clapped and cheered.
