Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, unless specified on your invitation we cannot host children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding. All children must leave by 7pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to Nate & Am’s incredibly large amount of family and friends, unless noted on your invitation, this event is at capacity with the venue which means Nate & Am are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the wedding ceremony time.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

When completing your RSVP please note any allergies. Bear Mountain Inn caterer & owner, Nick, takes allergies very seriously to be sure you can enjoy yourself during your time at BMI.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Our officiant will offer an opportunity for 2 photos. One before we begin and one after we say I do. We have paid a wonderful photographer to photograph our wedding and would like each person as present as possible in the moment. Handheld phones, cameras, and cam recorders are not welcome until after the photographer leaves.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

The bar will have select cocktails, beer, wine, and seltzer available. There will be a hydration station for non-alcoholic drinks. Please bring cash to tip your bartenders.

Question

Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We recommend The Noble House, Gallinari Brookline Cottages, Highland Lake Resort, and the Hampton Inn by Oxford Casino. Other cozy places in the area may be located on AirBnb as our area is a “vacation town.”

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Due to being in a rural location there will not be transportation. There are not local Ubers or ride share apps. Please note, we take driving under the influence incredibly seriously and will work with you to keep you safe if there is a question of yours and our community’s safety.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking directly behind the venue. When you pull in, continue to drive straight until you are located in the large parking lot. You will be asked to move your car if you park in front of the Inn.

Question

Could you suggest places to eat and drink while I am in town for your wedding?

Answer

Nate & Am enjoy sit down meals at Black Horse Tavern, in Bridgton and Old Mill Tavern in Harrison. If you’re looking for pizza, subs, and a bar menu we recommend The Bridgton House of Pizza.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony is planned to take place outdoors, cocktail hour will be in the bar area and outdoors, the reception will be indoors. While present on the property you are permitted to use the outdoor sitting spaces and fire pits.

Question

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in your area?

Answer

We recommend kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and hiking. There is also a walking area in Bridgton, called Pondicherry Park. When Amethyst was young she spent much of her time playing in the woods with her friends before this space was developed. To this day you can still walk from the entrance and to her childhood home. Other fun that may be accessible: Going to the Bridgton Book store, Renys, Corn Shop, or catching a movie at The Magic Lantern. Amethyst also has ties with a local pool bar. “Players Billiards and Bar,” located on Portland Road in Bridgton is owned by a friend of Amethyst’s dad. Stop by for a snack and a round of pool! Tell them Nate & Amethyst sent you.

Question

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

Answer

Please email nateandam@outlook.com - the questions you may have will be in one place and will be managed by the Maid & Matron of Honor, or a family member.

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home at 230 Portland Road, Bridgton ME 04009. A wedding card box will be present at our reception.

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We are so excited to have you join our special day and your presence at our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. However, if we are to be honored with a present from you, a monetary gift towards our home improvement plan or honeymoon would be very much appreciated.
