Nate and Abbey first met at law school orientation, where they quickly became friendly faces to one another. While they weren’t especially close during law school, life had a funny way of keeping them connected. After graduating, they found themselves studying for the bar exam together - a bonding experience that involved long days, lots of coffee, and just enough stress to bring two people closer. It didn’t take long to realize they balanced each other well, with complementary strengths that made them a strong team - something that became clear just a few months later when they both found out they had passed the bar. They remained friends for the next few years, until the summer of 2022, when that friendship finally turned into something more. Once they started dating, things moved quickly - in the best possible way. Friends and family were immediate fans of the relationship, offering constant encouragement and more than a few “we’ve been waiting for this” comments. Since then, Nate and Abbey have made the most of life together. They’ve traveled to places like Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Montreal, Alaska, Colorado, and California, and built a home with their two very spoiled cats, Leia and Annie. On any given weekend, you can likely find them planning their next adventure, skiing, working out together, trying a new restaurant, cooking at home, or spending time with the friends and family they love most. On January 25, 2025, Nate proposed in New York City - mid-winter and memorable. Looking ahead, Nate and Abbey are excited to continue building a life rooted in love, laughter, and shared experiences. Whether it’s traveling somewhere new, cooking together at home, spending time with Leia and Annie, or simply being surrounded by their favorite people, they’re looking forward to all the moments - big and small - that lie ahead.
