Sara and Nate met during their sophomore year of college when Sara visited Nate’s school to *study* over winter break. Despite being three hours apart, they managed to visit back and forth, dating for the rest of their time in school. After finishing her Junior year away at FIT, Sara realized she only had one shot to convince Nate to go along with her crazy plan to move to NYC after graduation. She enchanted him with a lovely trip to the City, consisting primarily of cozy wine-filled dinners and quaint walks through the West Village. Fast forward a couple months and one very long car ride later, and you can imagine Nate’s surprise when they pulled up to unload Sara’s parents’ Ford Econoline in a fifth floor walk-up with three roommates in Bushwick. The first year was tricky, but they managed to make their home in Brooklyn. Eight years, more than a few apartments, and countless adventures later, Nate and Sara are finally tying the knot in their home state of Indiana!

Nate proposed to Sara after their weekly yoga class, while they wondered down the Williamsburg waterfront on their way to meet friends for brunch. Sara thought it was perfect, but was blown away when brunch turned out to be a surprise engagement party for which Nate had flown in Sara’s younger sister, Anne. They karaoked the night away with friends, and then took off to rest and relax in Tulum the following week.
