This is one of our favorite restaurants in Carmel! It is a cozy, European bistro that serves delicious food in a great ambiance. We find it is often best for breakfast or lunch.
The Tuck Box is an adorable stop for scones and tea. Stop by here after a morning of walking on the beach!
Dametra is one of our favorite places for dinner. We love it not only because the Medditeranean food is delicious, but because the staff is so friendly. There are a couple times throughout the night that the chefs will come out of the kitchen and play the guitar. They encourage you to get up and dance, so be sure to have a glass of wine and enjoy yourself! This restaurant is quite popular, so we would recommend making reservations.
French and Italian restaurant with a beautiful outdoor patio.
Daily changing, artisanal Italian dishes paired with wines in an urban hideaway. Reservations are recommended.
Cantinetta Luca offers an authentic menu inspired by the traditional recipes of various regions of Italy featuring hand-crafted dishes using the finest Italian goods and locally sourced ingredients in a lively atmosphere. Executive Chef / Partner Jason Balestrieri shares his Italian culinary heritage and travels through handcrafted dishes prepared traditionally with a simple and rustic presentation.
If you have a car, one of our favorite things to do in Carmel is the beautiful 17 Mile Drive. 17 Mile Drive is a scenic road through Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove, which hugs the Pacific coastline and passes famous golf courses, mansions and scenic attractions. Stop and walk along the beach. The $10 entrance fee should be waived if you tell the gate guard you are guests of the Kozlowski-Hamilton Wedding at the Beach and Tennis Club.
While the world-famous Monterey Bay Aquarium is perhaps the most well-known attraction for Monterey, this gorgeous coastal town warrants a visit for plenty of other reasons. Its array of activities is almost as boundless as its beauty— you can explore its quaint downtown and bustling Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf, walk or bike along miles of beautiful seaside trails, and dig into just-caught seafood at top-notch restaurants. Monterey is about a 20 minute drive from Carmel.
