6/21/2018 was the date we made it official, but there were alot of side pieces that made this happen. How we met was simple, we met through his sister Abbey. Abbey and i were close, and we had met on instagram and facebook over common interests. Thats all it took to meet my soulmate. The first time I met Michael was when i drove from Cincinnati to Mishawaka Indiana(4 hours) so me and Abbey can go to a beach in Michigan. When her and I got back to the house, we hungout with him for a little. But really, Michael and I didnt grow close until him and Abbey came to visit Cincinnati and needed a place to stay. At the time, I had a one bedroom apartment to myself. They stayed for about two weeks. When Abbey hungout with her other friends, I was stuck with Michael unless i had other plans. And that was when we grew closer. After him and Abbey left to go back home to Mishawaka, I had to go to a convention in Pittsburgh. While I was waiting in line with a friend to meet some fashion designers, I had gotten a Snapchat message from Michael. It was a simple “you cute”. I didnt know what to think at first, I was shook. Who knew that a guy who was into basic girls at the time be into someone who dresses taboo? Since that day on forward, we talked everyday. Nonstop. Ive visited him a couple times. One time we even went to Chicago with Bean and Abbey. We all had planned on moving in together during the summer. My rent was too high, my friend was tired of living with her parents, and Michael and Abbey simoly wanted to come back to Cincinnati. But before my lease was up, i got impatient and a friend that stayed with me suggested we pop up in Mishawaka and take Michael to Cincinnati early. It was obvious what came after. It was 06/21/2018 when he asked “do you want to be exclusive?”
Fast forward to everyone living together in the new house. What felt like just started, came to a quick end. We were all getting evicted after Halloween. We knew this chapter was going to end, so while everyone gathered in the kitchen on one of the last nights we had together, he popped the question. And i said yes of course. Ever since we left the house, we’ve been traveling the country and camping out non stop. We lived in my car for two weeks. It was a roomy hatchback so it was pretty comfy. We were set out to drive to California, until my car broke down. While it was in the shop, we rented a Kia Soul and drove to Tennesee and camped out in the mountains. We returned back to Cincinnati when i was told about an Rv being sold by Michaels adopted grandparents in South Carolina. The plan was to get a bus and travel the country eventually, so why wait? After we got the rv, we decided to move to Texas to be closer to Michaels parents. Theyre currently in ministry school. And we wanted to see new things and start over anyway. And thats how we got to this point. Living happily in an rv together with our animals and meeting new people. Marriage cant come any sooner!
