We did it!!!!!!!

Initially I saw Natasha at a pioneer meeting for our circuit. I had the privilege of giving a talk during that meeting. I remember while I was on stage, giving my talk, I saw this sister frowning, for a second I thought I must be doing a bad job (per Natasha that was her focus face) either way I stared at her eyes as her beauty caught my attention. Since I wasn't in the mindset of looking for a relationship, I let it rest. Well the next Sunday I had a talk at a congregation which is about an hour away from me. After the meeting, I started talking to one of the elders and come to find out, he was telling me about new people that joined his congregation, when he said the name Natasha Maldonado, I said to myself could that be the sister I saw and I randomly started to describe her and come to find out it was her. **Side note: the brother gave me some misinformation that worked out well for me** Unfortunately she was not at that meeting, my luck right! Well on my drive home, I started talking about her to my mom but mostly about her spirituality which I got from the brother, I was very impressed. I prayed Jah for the upcoming months and I said to myself at least I should talk to her about the common spiritual goals we have. Well it was convention time so I put my big boy pants on and told myself I need to talk to her, as soon as I saw her, I called her name and we had a conversation that ended awkwardly because I had to step away as someone spilled something next to us then when I went back, Natasha was gone. Next day, I saw her and we had a full conversation, we agreed we should be friends and then I got her number (in my head, I was like lets see how long this friendship would last jk). Well shortly after getting to know each other, we started dating!

Unfortunately I don’t remember seeing Karl at the pioneer meeting. As noted above, it was taking all my concentration to understand the meeting! What I do remember is that during the July convention last year a brother approached me and started a conversation by asking about my experience in SKE (this is where the misinformation Karl received came into play). I explained that I had never had the privilege of attending SKE but that it was one of my goals. That led to a conversation about our goals that was cut short when a sister spilled her coffee nearby. Although I had to leave before Karl finished dealing with the situation, I was impressed by the kindness he showed the embarrassed sister. At that time I wasn’t looking for a husband, but I knew that if I was going to start a relationship it would have to be with a brother who was kind and respectful to others, and Karl seemed like that kind of person. So I decided to give him my number with the very specific provision that I was only agreeing to be friends. Joke’s on me, a week after that we started dating 😅 And a year later, here we are ❤️
