Josh and I grew up within ten miles of each other. We went to the same race track, played each other's teams in sports, and must have crossed paths a hundred times, but fate did not bring us together until we were 23. We met at O'Reilly Auto Parts where I was working after college. Josh got a job there shortly after and while he was waiting for his interview with the manager I awkwardly asked if he wanted to hang out with me in the break room while I was eating lunch. The first thing that I noticed about him were his cowboy boots. I was at a point in my life where I had sworn off relationships... or so I thought. We worked together for about 2 months and before I knew it I would catch him laughing at my goofy jokes when no one else was and he would catch me staring when I didn't realize that I was doing it. He hatched a plan to ask me out, telling my best friend that he needed a date to a Halloween party. She immediately came to tell me and since I had already made plans I invited him to join her and I. I played right into it. We started hanging out after that and that is all she wrote folks. Here we are today, 3 years later, happily engaged and ready to take on the world.
