Natasha was a senior piano performance major at SUNY Binghamton and John was a few months into his music director position at Tri Cities Opera. Natasha was looking into grad school programs and heard that John would be a good person to get coffee with to answer some of her questions...so she messaged John on Facebook on Nov 11, 2016, and didn’t get a response until Dec 4, 2016 (slow responders amirite?). Anyways, the 30 minute coffee ended up lasting 2.5 hours and the rest is history! They officially became a couple in May 2017, and began their 1.5 year long distance relationship while Natasha was pursuing her masters degree at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore and John began his fellowship at the San Francisco Opera. Their long distance ended in Dec 2018, and since then, they’ve lived in Baltimore, Austin and Salt Lake City. Who knew a little town in upstate NY would bring so much love to so many places! In November of 2020, they adopted an adorable black lab mix named Poppy, and the three of them are happily settled and living in New York.
