Evan and I have chosen to have an intimate ceremony with our immediate family. We are hoping to find ways to celebrate with our loved ones in days prior to our wedding. We appreciate all your love and support. We hope to celebrate with you soon! In the mean time, we would love to share our story with you.
We met online through a dating app called OkCupid. I saw a message pop up of from Evan in November of 2015. I remember thinking how adorable he was with his flippy blond hair, tropical shirt, & sunglasses. Unfortunately I had lost my password and couldn't respond to the notification, although Evan jokes that I was ghosting him...not true at all, haha! I eventually recovered my password, and in January of 2016 I responded to his message. We talked online for a few weeks, and then I finally got the nerve to invite him to Sharkey's for my birthday. I still remember exactly what he was wearing, and the smile on his face when he walked through the door. That night, we played a nice game of pool, giant connect four, and enjoyed getting to know each other. I remember leaving that night feeling hopeful. After a couple more months of talking, we made things official on March 10, 2016. That was the beginning of our journey to happily ever after...
"I'm so unbelievably lucky to have gotten to this point in my life. I can't believe what a genuinely kind, caring and big hearted person you are & that I get to call you mine. I love our family; You, Ollie, and everything that we have together. I want you to be my family forever. I love you Bee, so Natasha Parmar, will you marry me?" These are the words I said to her on the night of our beautiful engagement in front of our friends and family. As she came walking toward the gazebo at the duck pond I don't think she had a clue what was about to happen. All she knew was that the gazebo had been all lit up and that it looked beautiful. As she got closer though she started to realize what was going on after seeing myself and some of her closest people in the world all gathered around. Natasha immediately broke down into tears as she had been patiently waiting for this moment for a long time. I came out of the gazebo to get her and bring her into our beautifully decorated space. In that instance, we felt like the only two people in the whole world. With the lights, the water, the cute Marry Me marquise letters, and rose petals it couldn't have been more perfect. As I got down on one knee, saying these words to her, I felt an overwhelming sense of comfort that I had found my person, and that I would love her forever. It was a beautiful moment, and through all the tears and emotions I was just so excited to see her this happy.
