Historic and delightful. Indoor seating can get loud (but walk inside to see the art & craftmanship!)
Hike to the top - we got engaged up here! (Hard, very strenuous uphill hike... drink lots of water.)
Best place to go if you don't know which trail to go on... most of them start here! Walk through the Meadow for a very easy, VERY SCENIC hike. There's also LIVE music here most nights in the summer! Look for tickets online!
Great place for spotting owls and other big birds at dusk! (Ask us for binocs if you want) - walk north over the road, and towards the north. Easy and flat walking.
Famous for it's natural rock amphitheater (look for tickets online!), and also has some great, scenic hiking! Most trails are relatively easy.
Our MOST favorite place for fall foliage (golden aspens!) in September/October - also some easy 1-2 mile hiking loops & even easy-to-access backcountry campsites!
One of our favorite places for flyfishing (ask us for rods to borrow! we have 2 - remember your license!).... and climbing! Ask Tash for reccs or borrowed gear.
Tash's ABSOLUTE favorite place to climb in the WHOLE state. :) (it's all trad though) Also, a lovely SCENIC drive, walk, hike, or dip in the creek! (If you want a longer scenic hike... park at the Fowler Trailhead outside of the park, and hike INTO Eldorado Canyon SP!)
Lots of trails up here, and lots of views - drive SLOW! Also one of the most expensive restaurants up there! :)
