Roxborough State Park
We chose to get our engagement photos done here for a reason. This state park is one of the most gorgeous places in the world. If you've never been, we highly recommend you make it a stop during your visit here.
Denver Museum of Nature & Science
The museum is one of the best in the country with an IMAX, planetarium, exhibits covering geology, dinosaurs, Egyptian mummies, the natural world and incredible traveling exhibits. Plus the museum is right on City Park. Enjoy a walk around the park or the swan pedal boats on Saturdays at the City Park Lake.
Little Man Ice Cream
Little Man Ice Cream has great flavors for everyone. We really enjoy the Horchata and the Vegan Rocky Road. They also are known to host live music, movies, bingo and more at this quaint little place in the Denver Highlands Neighborhood.
Red Rocks Amphitheater
If you can catch a concert at Red at Red Rocks this weekend, it will be a music experience you'll never forget. It's probably one of the coolest concert venues in the world, but it is also a great place to hike and enjoy the natural beauty of the foothills as well.
Hamburger Mary's Denver
You can't leave Denver without a little drag queen karaoke or drag queen bingo. Period.
RiNo Art District
Home to some of the best craft breweries, wineries, distilleries and cideries in Denver as well as some phenomenal street art. The RiNo art district is a completely walkable gem just north of Downtown Denver. We love Infinite Monkey Theorem Winery, Colorado Sake Co., Stem Ciders, Odell Brewing, and Ironton Distillery.
Coors Brewery Tour
Enjoy a tour and tastings of the highest elevated brewery in the world-- Coors! Golden is another gem, enjoy shopping and eating within the Mainstreet of Downtown Golden apres Coors tour.
The Wizard's Chest
Wizard's Chest is home to some of the best games, costumes, and fan-fiction garb. Probably Dan's favorite place on Earth.
Bear Creek Lake Park
Dan and I spent our entire 2020 summer here on the lake when pandemic mandates indoors were still in effect. Bear Creek Lake Park is amazing for the whole family with kayak and paddle board rentals as well as a beach for kids to wade and swim in.
Elitch Gardens
Coasters, ferris wheels, water slides, carnival games and more. Elitch Gardens is located right in Downtown Denver if you're looking to spend your day there.
