When would I need to book by?

Answer

Around this time of year, rooms and flights usually fill up pretty quickly! The latest time we recommend is by March 31, 2023 so that we'll have enough time to prepare everything before you get there! If for any reason you can't make it, no worries at all! Just let us know so we can adjust plans accordingly.

What is the dress code?

Beach Semi-Formal is the dress code for the wedding. Keep the heat in mind! We'd love for everyone to be dressed nice, be comfortable, and have fun!

Do I need to tip at the resort?

Answer

Tipping the resort staff in small USD bills is always appreciated but not required.

Any COVID restrictions?

Answer

As of July 2022, a negative COVID test is no longer required for travel between US and Mexico! Masks aren't required at the resort either, but are still recommended.

Yes, absolutely!

Which airport? How do I get to the resort?

Answer

We'll be flying in to Cancun International Airport, it's about an hour away from the resort. Transportation can be arranged when booking, either through our travel agent or separately with your own agent! Alternatively, you could also get a taxi service if you'd like.

Do I have to use your travel agent for booking?

Answer

Not at all, feel free to make your arrangements! Booking with our agent just helps us with coordinating guests. If you decide to book on your own, just let us know!

Can I stay at another resort?

Answer

We recommend staying at Barcelo Maya Palace so you can get all the resort benefits and to keep wedding costs down, but you can still stay at another resort. If you choose to stay somewhere else though, the resort will ask each guest to buy a "guest pass" to attend the wedding.

Do I need reservations for restaurants?

Answer

The buffets don't require reservations, but the specialty restaurants do.

Can I buy you a gift?

Answer

Just you joining us for our wedding is the best gift we could ask for. We only ask that you bring yourselves and get ready to party in paradise. For those of you who would still like to go above and beyond, we greatly appreciate it! A monetary gift in lieu of presents would go a long way for us as we begin our married life together (and it keeps travel light!). With all our love, thank you for considering our request and we greatly appreciate your understanding. We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you!

Why a destination wedding?

Answer

For us, we couldn't imagine our wedding anywhere else! Our lives have been so busy that we rarely have time for a proper getaway. Since we love to travel, we figured this made the most sense for us! We think many of you are in the same boat, and hope that you will be able to vacation with us. If you can make it, we would be BEYOND grateful and can’t wait to celebrate with you. If you can’t make it for any reason though, we completely understand!
